Let the Musikind play…

After years of development, the Musikind IOS application is now only months away from launching. It has been custom built for operation using Apple’s iPad and designed specifically for use in care homes for older adults and those living with dementia. The app will leverage technology to bring the varied benefits of music to carers and activity co-coordinators and features specially recorded music and guidance from Music Therapists with experience of working within the sector.

We can’t wait to hear your feedback on Musikind as it is our mission to put the benefits of music into the hands of all carers working with older adults and people living with dementia. This is only the very beginning of this project and your feedback will be essential as we further develop and enhance the service over the coming years.

Finally, we are proud to announce that £1 of every monthly subscription fee will go directly to Alzheimer Society. We are aware that dementia care is an area that desperately needs more funding and we are fully committed to doing all we can to help raise money for this truly valuable and important cause.
