We are pleased to announce our Musikind Free Pass initiative, which will give up to 300 care homes six months free access to our Musikind iPad App.
The team at Musikind are acutely aware of the impact that COVID-19 is having on the care industry and care home residents. Our thoughts are with all those affected.
One of the many consequences of the outbreak is that the majority of musicians, entertainers and music therapists are unable to visit care homes, resulting in less musical interactions for many residents. We want to help care homes with this particular challenge.

Musikind is a carer’s musical toolbox. Designed by a Music Therapist specifically for care homes, Musikind empowers carers to use the varied benefits of music in daily care. We are delighed to be Finalists in the upcoming Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo 2020.
USE MUSIC IN DAILY CARE
Musikind enables carers to use the benefits of music during daily care to help build trust, soothe or provide a source of stimulation. It also contains tips for getting the most out of music in different care situations.
INCLUDE ALL RESIDENTS
Musikind contains specially recorded slower versions of songs for anyone who may have difficulties singing at a faster pace. It contains a variety of well-known songs that span many decades and musical styles.
QUICKLY PROVIDE ACTIVITIES
Using Musikind you can provide one to one singing, listening or instrument playing activities with little to no preparation time. These include conversation starters and trivia based on the music selected.
PERSONALISE MUSIC IN CARE
Sessions from Musikind’s activities and care sections can be combined to make a Music Plan for individual residents. Music Plans facilitate ongoing support for well-being through the person-centred use of music in care.
Our Free Pass
Our Free Pass can be accessed by up to 300 UK care homes for elderly adults and people living with dementia.
An iPad is required to download the Musikind App. The Free Pass allows use of the App on one device per home.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The Free Pass is open to all care home organisations (subject to availability) but is limited to 5 homes per organisation. Additional care homes can subscribe to the paid version [here] for only £39.99/month.
SIGNING UP
No payment details are required for the Free Pass and you won’t be automatically subscribed at the end of the free period, unless you choose to. Musikind’s Free Pass is a ‘no obligation’ offer.
6 MONTH PERIOD
The free period starts on 15 April 2020 and all Free Passes will come to an end on 15 October 2020.
